What's the Dress Code?

Our ceremony in Mexico is a festive, "beach chic" affair, and we want to carry that theme forward to San Francisco, with a little "urban chic" flair!  There is no requirement for what you wear - these are only suggestions for people who would like an idea.

  • Ladies:  Summer evening dress or a more formal sundress.  No sand here, so feel free to wear whatever shoes you like dancing in.  Meghan has a fun, modern wedding dress especially for San Francisco.
  • Gentlemen: Suits and ties are definitely not required.  Slacks and a button down shirt.  Men can also wear a neat polo shirt.  John will be decked out in his wedding suit - after all, he appreciates wearing a suit twice in 2 months.

What About the Weather?

San Francisco summers can be unpredictable, but the last two years have had plenty of warm sunshine during the day, and some fog at night.  L
adies, it is wise to bring a shawl or pashmina just in case.  If you are planning on spending a few days in San Francisco, bring clothes for the heat (shorts, sandals) and the cold (light jacket, shoes).
